e2008 I will keep it short
e2008
I will keep it short, but I will miss out on some details. I know there are differences in winter and summer charges!
My e2008 is just under 2 years old with 25k miles. I noticed that I could no longer charge it above 180 miles, even though it used to charge to 214 miles when new.
That's almost a 20% drop, so I got worried and contacted the Coventry branch. I was told this was normal and within 'their' spec, but their spec isn't available anywhere for this time period. (The general rule for EV battery reduction is no more than 2.5% a year).
I requested a battery check, thinking it would include a health check, but the technician only confirmed that it's charging and is within their spec.
Peugeot's spec says 166 miles on a full charge in summer for a 2-year-old car when it was 214 miles when new...a 22% decrease!
How is this okay?
The Coventry manager told me I was expecting too much when I brought the car in for a battery check.
If I have to wait 6 weeks to book an EV battery check, I should expect it to be done properly, especially for a car this old! They told me it would cost more than £150 for a full check.
