This service is a real game changer. I've had health issues for a long time that seemed unconnected, and the results shed light on them. I can now take these results to my doctor for further investigation and confirmation of a diagnosis. The best thing about this service, in my opinion, is that you can search your entire genome. I searched for a specific gene family that recent academic literature suggests might be related to Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, and I found that I do have one of the genetic variations. The results also pinpointed several other genetic disorders that I am at high risk for having, and I plan to show my doctors those results to investigate further.

This service helped me identify a genetic problem that I will have forever. I also verified and diagnosed another suspected issue that was not completely analyzed by one of those genealogy services for regular people. And by having access to the entire genome, I could rule out suspected diagnoses that fit the description of multiple genetic issues, which helped me find the real genetic cause of the problems. I analyze genetics in my job. Without the complete genome, we will definitely miss something.

User-friendly and set realistic expectations on results taking up to 16 weeks. However, the sequencing.com website could be clearer about generating reports solely for 'high confidence' results. My report had numerous issues labeled as 'Unknown' or 'Not yet Named,' understandable due to limited research. Confirmed familial history but raised concerns without medical solutions. Despite the cost and missed appointment, it proved worth the investment.

The company provides somewhat helpful data. However, using the reports is hard as they lack enough info. For instance, the 60% heart disease risk claim isn't backed by data. 23andme says it's 8%. Advising me to take Vitamin D without checking my levels is wrong. I had to search for studies on Vit D and MS to realize I don't need it. Finding peer-reviewed papers on heart disease and my gene variants helped, but not everyone can do that.

I gоt the fast kit during the sale and wаs quite happy when the lab actually finished sequencing after 7 weeks (advertised was 6-8 weeks). But I'm mostly interested in the raw data and the support promissed links to the FASTQ and BAM files twice over the last 3 weeks but did not provide anything so far. I'll update this review if they provide the links soon. Otherwise I guess I'll have to go for a chargeback on my credit card ...

Sequencing.com is really good. I really like my health results and even found out my ABO blood type, which I didn't know before. The ancestry results are cool too, especially the Asian part. Overall, Sequencing.com is a greta company to test with, and I highly recommend them.

The customer service is amazing. It took a while to get my kit and I wish the results came back quicker, but the customer service agent told me mine was being expedited which is nice because I am currently facing a potential cancer diagnosis.

This company is good. I got the whole genome sequencing Premium Expedited bundle. It arrived in 2 weeks as promised. Customer support was helpful when I needed it. The genomic data showed lots of rare diseases, which is impressive. The disease risks matched my family history, so I trust the results.

Deceptive Website

Just be very careful regarding what you pick as it's deceptive. You might think you are ordering a one time.. option and they bill you annually on a monthly plan. I had no idea I never notice 2 payments on the same day.. where applied.. for a total of 57. something dollars. Than ikn December and January and now February. I've been dealing with cancer treatments and was not paying attention.. I checked the account and noticed they have me on a payment plan.. monthly and it also provides for no cancellation option.. until an entire year has lapsed but I get no access to any information only the original info with a consistent invite to upgrade to what? S*** site.. deceptive for sure. The oder history does not show.. Payment december january only February as 0 terrible.. they've taken over $150..00 deceptively.

We got two DNA kits and sent them in. But when we got the results, they were not the same. The cost of the reports on the site is the same for both kits, so why can't we just pick the reports we want instead of getting random ones? Now we have to pay extra for the reports we realy wanted. At first, we were happy to share our experience with friends and family about Sequencing.com, but didn't know the reports were random. Now, we're less likely to suggest them after getting these random results.

Awful company! Run!

This company is absolutely the worst. I paid them hundreds of dollars thinking I was going to get ahead of the 3 year waiting list to get into a local geneticist and maybe get some help for debilitating pain and illnesses I've had for years. Boy was I wrong. Tho the processing was pretty quick I will say the program they provide u with is only for u. No way to export to a file that ur doctor could do anything with or read properly. If u want something more detailed be ready to shell out HUNDREDS more dollars for likely hardly usable curated "reports". When I purchase I was automatically put into a monthly subscription thing that when it was 2 weeks out from expired gave me so many warning notices and nonsense trying to get me to update my payment method that I was unable to open a damn thing until I dropped my membership to free, 2 weeks before expiry lemme remind u. Now I've been waiting for their stupid app to repopulate my paid for results for over 5 flipping days now. Their customer service is an absolute joke. I've been trying to communicate with them asking very direct questions like "why is my data having to be repopulate when it was available when I had previously logged in and why is it taking so long?" and I get platitudes and contact us if u have any more questions. Like yes mfer I have questions. How about u answer the first one? I've escalated to management and got the same pitiful bs response. I am so mad and so disappointed. I absolutely got taken for so much money ($400 I think at this point) and I can't even see what I paid for cuz its still working on something. Buyer beware here. Do ur research and if I had a different choice at this point I'd go with ANYONE else. Worst decision I made. I'm out lots of money, I've got a headache from the stress of it all and no answers to when I'll even have access to what I paid for. This is my DNA info they r holding hostage. Makes me wonder how solid that HIPPA compliance is at this point.

In September 2023, I paid $399 and sent my DNA to Sequencing.com. It's now March 20, 2024, and I still haven't received any results. I've tried calling customer service, but they haven't been helpful. I've also sent several emails, but all I get back is the same message: "Your test is in the sequencing phase. That's all we know." They won't tell me where exactly my test is in the sequencing phase or when it will be done. I've asked to speak with a manager, but I never got a call back. I even requested to talk to the CEO, Brandon Colby, but they said he's too busy. I'm really worried about where my DNA is and who has access to it. I asked Sequencing.com to give me back my DNA vial, but they said they can't because it's with their vendor for sequencing, and they don't have control over it. I asked about their policies for handling sensitive information, but I didn't get a response. I'm starting to wonder if my DNA has been shared without my consent. Overall, based on my experience, it seems like Sequencing.com doesn't care about their customers and only makes excuses. I wouldn't recommend trusting them with your DNA.

My anticipation for the benefits of sequencing led me to choose this company, but my excitement has turned into frustration. It's been 22 weeks since they received my kit, and the tracker shows no progress. Despite assurances from customer service, nine weeks of waiting and numerous promises for updates have left me uncertain about when I'll finally receive my results.
