    Phone2 is an interesting new option in the business

    Phone2 is an interesting new option in the business internet phone space. It could be a great value for your money. Pros: (1) offers a one-time lifetime payment option, (2) call quality and texting are decent, (3) it features a web app!, (4) it includes OTP support, (5) allows for multi-user and multi-number use. Cons: (1) Canadian SMS features do not work properly, (2) both web and mobile apps feel unfinished (read: glitchy). The actual customer service quality remains to be seen for me. For comparison, I've paid and tested these services for business needs - Hushed, TextMe, TextNow, Line2, Ooma, and RingCentral. If you've faced SMS problems, you likely asked for a Canadian phone number!

    I was a little hesitant when I first decided to try Phone2. Changing VoIP services is always a big decision, especially after poor experiences with my previous provider. But I have to say, Phone2 has really managed to impress me. The features are practical and thought through. It’s easy to handle multiple phone numbers, and the shared call history keeps everything organized. I especially like that you can turn the Edge/Chrome browser version into a local app—it may seem small, but it really helps day to day. Porting my numbers was smooth—took just three days. The toll-free and local numbers were exactly what I needed, and their team helped with TCR registration, something my old provider never got right. I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I do. Their plan to manage both personal and work numbers in one system is forward-thinking in a way I didn’t realize I’d want.

    Something has changed! I signed up for this service with a lifetime subscription just a few days ago, but I soon realized it wasn’t really what I needed or expected. On a Saturday, I reached out to Andrew via email to ask for a clearer explanation of the service and mentioned the issues I was having. I got a response the same day. After explaining that I couldn’t use the service for what I intended, Andrew quickly refunded my payment. For those calling this service a 'scam', I’ve been in the computer design, software, and data processing field for over 65 years, and I can tell you this is a genuine effort to offer the service as advertised. It’s still in the early stages, and improvements are likely to come, but it’s far from a 'scam'. As for the customer service, this was the first time I’ve ever gotten a same-day reply and refund on a weekend. Enough said!

    As an American expat living permantly overseas, I needed a way for my friends, family, and banks to reach me using a local phone number. I used Skype for years, but when they shut it down, I had to look for something else. After trying a few other options, I found Phone2. The most important thing for me was having a local phone number, and Phone2 provided that at a fair yearly price. After signing up, I put the service to the test and it worked very well, even better than Skype. With Phone2, I picked my own phone number from a list. I chose the state and area code of my main bank, which made me feel much more secure. As things stand now, I plan to stay with Phone2 for the long haul.

    Very happy with Phone2 service

    Like many, I used to rely on Skype and lived in Costa Rica, so I felt worried about finding a good alternative. To make it short, after seeing some good and bad reviews about Phone2, I reached out to their customer service to ask about the negative ones. I was nicely surprised by their honest explanation about a time when their growth was faster than their team and how they fixed those problems. This made me trust their service more. I'm not very tech-savvy, and I was glad to talk to a kind person who answered many questions patiently. My experience with Phone2’s connection has been great. It works better than Skype and costs less, making it a better choice.

    I started using Phone2 about a month ago after looking into many other options (since Skype stopped working and I still had to call the US from Europe). It's been working just how I wanted, even getting those bank codes and all. What really stood out to me, though, was the support team. Anytime I needed help or had a question, they got back to me fast and really helped me out. From the begining it felt smooth. I actually moved to the yearly plan today. Big thanks to the team!

    I’m really happy I found Phone2

    I’m really happy I found Phone2. Since I live abroad, having a US number to call and get calls from the States is very helpful. The 2fa option is a great bonus! Now I don’t struggle with contacting my bank or using apps that need 2fa. I also get texts and voicemail without issues. Their support team is very good too. Honestly, I’m glad Skype stopped its service because Phone2 is clearly much better.

    I decided to switch from Nextiva to Phone 2, and so far, the setup has been smooth and quick. I’m waiting for my number to transfer and trying everything out.     I’ve got 8 plumbers working all over the city, and keeping them in touch is no small task. I needed a phone system that wouldn’t "back up" (pun included) or cost too much to keep the team connected. Phone2 does the job well here. It lets me see who’s handling calls for plumbing work, so there’s no guessing if someone hasn’t been to a job in a while. Plus, I don’t need to pay for every team member on the system—just the main line is enough to keep things rolling. The Android app works fine, is simple, and handles well on the tablets my crew uses daily. It’s tough enough for our work and always rings, which is the key thing I need. I’m docking it 4 stars because transferring our number took almost a week, and for about 8 hours, we had calls not coming through. The customer support team helped quickly, but it’s still a bit of a pain when that happens. Overall: Phone2 works like a solid tool for our kind of business. If you’re in plumbing or trades, this is the adjustable wrench of phone systems—reliable, effective, and worth the cost. Recommened!

    I got tricked by an ad from Phone2, which seems like a Bait and Switch method. I paid \$35 to transfer my phone number from Skype and \$48 for the service for the next year. The ad promised a perfect business plan with unlimited calls to North America and unlimited incoming texts. Shouldn't it have been obvious from the start that I couldn’t text anyone? To send texts, I now have to pay \$18 each month! At first, I couldn’t even receive calls, so I thought the ad’s unlimited calls meant no incoming calls either. But when I reached out, the company was quick to help me fix the issue, and now I can get calls. I’m adding an extra star for their quick response!

    I’ve used Skype for 5 years calling the US from China. It always worked well and I liked that no VPN was needed. When Skype stoped working, I moved to Phone2. It works fine most times, but you do need a VPN here. I hope they can find a way to make it work without needing VPN.

    Avoid this company! STAY AWAY! Don’t buy ANYTHING from them. You will waste your money and end up with a poor phone system that hardly works, and they won't give you your money back. It's been almost a year since I bought from them, and I've had problems since the very beginning. Right now, I'm still dealing with them about several issues! The problems Leo mentioned, I’m facing them too. Most of the time, you can’t make calls due to system problems. You won’t get texts from certain systems. The system crashes, freezes, and goes down a lot. The SMS service stops working often, and they will blame you for it. This company refuses to take any responsibility for their faulty, broken systems. I’ve had nothing but problems with both their web version and the mobile app. I’ve contacted support many times, but they just forget about you and give me dumb responses like “What problem are you having?” even though I clearly explained it in my first message. It feels like the company is run by one person pretending to be different agents with really bad AI or something. This is the worst company to deal with! DON’T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM! I’ve been asking for a refund since day 1, but they just keep refusing!

    I signed up for the Phone2 service, my credit card was charged, and my account got activated. Then they took an extra \$35.00 to port my Skype number, and within 15 minutes, they shut down my account and locked me out. I tried calling them and sent over 10 emails, but no one ever responded. I reached out to their Nevada number, but it was always unanswered. This company is dodgy. I never got a refund either. I contacted the FCC, and all they did was send a notice about my complaint, but they said it was something for me and Phone2 to sort out. It felt like a total scam. Stay away from Phone2. It seems like some shady company, maybe even based in India. I had to switch to 1-VOIP, which was amazing, and they ported my number without any issues, stopping all my multi-factor authentication texts from being blocked, so I could access my bank and other accounts again. PHONE2 IS A SCAM. BE CAREFUL!!!

    HORRIBLE PRODUCT

    Where do I even start. I have been using various phone platforms for 8 years now and was sold on Phone2.io with their offer for a 1 time payment for a business line. After opening my account, paying the $129.00 as well as numerous other fees for our 3 business lines, I found out very quickly that this platform not only DID NOT WORK at all, that the customer support was also non-existent. Calls would drop after 3 minutes, they did nothing to assist with SMS registration which we waited for 2 months for and still never received and the platform as a whole was extremely glitchy. Save yourself the money and hassle and go elsewhere.
