ON1 provides swift, precise, and valued help. Being a new user and not entirely familiar with computers, ON1 customer service has given me answers in easy-to-understand form. It's nice being made to feel as a valued customer. Plus... their software is realy great.

I have been using ON1 software

I have been using ON1 software for a long time, and the latest update was simple to download and set up. I’m still getting the hang of the new features, but it looks good at the moment.

Have used on1 software since the enlarging software was called Genuine Fractals. It has always done a realy good job

I have used ON1 software

I have used ON1 software as far back as ver. 10.5. I usually upgrade every few years. The last upgrade was to PhotoRaw 2021. Given all the advances, I decided to upgrade to 2024. Since I have an older computer (2010, HP 170t), I tried the one-month trial of PhotoRaw 2023. It worked well, so I decided to upgrade to 2024, hoping that it too would work on my old computer. At the end of the install process, I received an error message saying that my version of DirectX 12 was not compatible. Surprisingly, though, it appeared on my desktop, and I tried it. Although I really like the new interface, the Brilliant AI did not work, nor did some of the masking features. Also, I noticed that my older processor was constantly ramping up to warp speed, as should be expected given some of the new features of AI. So, I have installed 2023 and am going to use that version until I upgrade my computer, which I am dreading, not so much for the expense but for the labor in transferring, installing, etc. Once I get established on the new computer, I will do a more thorough review. I am an amateur photographer who enjoys editing digital photos but is also digitizing a large slide and color negative collection. I would like to suggest that some information or perhaps videos on how PhotoRaw could be utilized to accomplish this endeavor would be useful. I believe ON1's emphasis on customers' needs is paramount in its growing base of users. As a former resident of the Portland area (only about 5 miles from your office), I wish you well.

The software is really good for someone like me

The software is really good for someone like me (or maybe just for me) because it is much easier to use than Photoshop (I only use the basic Elements), gives great results with both Develop editing or Presets/LUTs, Filters. Masking is really simple and the only issue I have is maybe because my system doesn't meet your recommended specs - NR is REALLY slow. All other tools work well. On the same laptop, ON1 takes 5 - 6 minutes for NR on an average photo, while Topaz Photo AI takes just 30 - 60 seconds. Both quality are similar (Great!), but ON1 is way too slow on my outdated laptop. I now just use Topaz for NR and then switch to ON1 for other editing. Maybe one day I’ll get a better computer and ON1 will work great for me. ALSO - HUGE - no subscription. I would stop using ON1 if it ever turns into a subscription.

Great software with a good design

Great software with a good design and useful processing tools... It handles my raw files better than other software I've used. Plenty of features and even some Ai tools. I gave it 4 stars because it sometimes freezes, even though I’m using the newest Macbook Pro with the latest OS update from Apple.

I recently used the software to bulk process around a thousand photos from a sports photography shoot, which included rating and processing. While this initial step was relatively smooth, things took a turn when I attempted to upload about 450 selected photos to social media. The upload process was surprisingly slow, taking over two hours to complete. What was even more frustrating was that the program became practically unusable during this time. This lengthy upload period greatly hindered my workflow efficiency. Additionally, the software's interface, especially for someone like me without a Lightroom background, appeared somewhat confusing. I'm hoping that with more frequent use, I'll become more familiar with it, but for now, there's definitely room for improvement, particularly in terms of speed and user-friendliness.

I am experiencing a memory

I am experiencing a memory leak during Cataloging on both my Windows 11 and Mac Mini Pro M2 machine. I am forced to run without catalogs.

I tried to install it on three

I tried to install it on three different computers, but it didn't work on any of them. Finally, I managed to get it open, and I was looking forward to using it. However, after spending several hours troubleshooting, I closed it down thinking it would work the next day. But the next morning, it still wouldn't open, showing more error messages. I'm not happy because I could have bought different software that actually works.
