Been enrolled with masterschool since January 2023. Initially, everything seemed fine, and the learning plan was alright, albeit a bit rushed. However, things took a turn towards the end of my studies. Instead of assisting with portfolio improvement and job preparation for data analytics roles, the support dwindled. Responses to inquiries took too long, with delays in simple issue resolutions like changing my name or fixing a DataCamp account. When I requested a review of my resume and portfolio post-graduation, I was told they no longer provide that service and to use the built-in resume builder. Project evaluations seemed cursory, lacking thorough assessment. Overall, the focus shifted solely to job applications, neglecting the need for stronger resumes and portfolios in a competitive market. Regrettably, my experience with masterschool has not met my expectations.

My experience with Masterschool was highly disappointing

My experience with Masterschool was highly disappointing. After signing all the contracts and preparing to begin my role as an instructor, I was abruptly informed just two days before starting that they no longer required my services due to low student numbers. What bothered me most was the complete lack of communication and an apology. This incident not only breached our contract but also showed a significant lack of professionalism on their part. Furthermore, despite them stating that I would be first in line when slots opened up, they advertised for more instructors on LinkedIn just a month later. The communication from Masterschool was exceptionally poor, with responses taking nearly two weeks at times. I have nearly 15 years of experience in the field I was hired to tutor in, currently working at a senior level. In conclusion, I would strongly advise avoiding Masterschool, as it's not worth your time, and their unprofessional conduct calls their credibility into question, especially considering the suspicious 5-star reviews from accounts with no review history.

Deceiving

MasterSchool has a poor structure of content that's not even theirs. They only grant you access to online academies that you could just enroll on your own. The school promises you a future with many opportunities that are unrealistic and have no consideration about where every student is located nor other circumstances. They just want to have as many students as possible because they'll charge you the 13K$ fee as soon as you find a job, regardless whether it's in the field or not. They have always have people who would write fake positive reviews (check Redditors with low credit score) or Trustpilot and would even harass you online via DM. What a waste of time and energy, the job market in the field is oversaturated at this moment, not worthy. They push you to take other paid certifications besides theirs? From my cohort, literally only one person is working and during the one year term of the course, at least 2 instructors dropped out. That's how bad it is that even teachers didn't finish their term.

Avoid at all costs

No profesionalism at all on their part, no real academic structure only instructors which could be new for each cohort. The concept is fine but they lack the infraestructure to actually go into any depth on any of the chapters of the syllabus ( data analytics). There are many more examples of why Masterschool is to be avoided

They offer lessons full of examples and give plenty of time for practicing during and after class, plus a platform with all the study materials and interactive coding tasks. Masterschool works with Codio, offering well-organized projects for practice and helpful feedback from reviewers. Their dedication to helping people succeed in IT is very motivating, and they make sure the course content is always up-to-date with the latest, most wanted tech skills. The one-on-one mentoring and career advice gave me the support I needed to grow, and I’ve also seen better communication skills and more confidence in my abilities. With so much practical experience, I feel ready and prepared to start my career.

For me, the best parts were the hackathons and the career sprint – both fast-moving and full of learning. Some AI parts need a bit of refreshing, but if you keep going, you’ll learn alot. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The 1:1 session on CV and LinkedIn with Charlotte wasn’t basic at all – it was focused, useful, and felt right. She didn’t just fix my profile technically, but made it really show who I am. Her way of looking at small things and knowing what matters made it all feel made just for me. This kind of help really makes Masterschool special.
