    I tried Longhorn for the first time

    I tried Longhorn for the first time today, and my meal was really good! Normally, I go for chicken tenders, but this time I opted for the Cowboy Pork Chops with a side of French fries and mac 'n cheese. The pork chops were cooked and seasoned just right. The mac 'n cheese had bacon bits, which didn't suit my taste, but that's a personal preference. The only downside was that it took a bit long to get our drink refills, hence the deduction of one star.

    Perhaps it's just me and the food I order, but... Last time, I got a chicken strawberry salad. It had lettuce and strawberries, but NO CHICKEN! I called, they promised a gift card. I realized later I never got it. Called again, got it. Good job, manager. On Friday, we tried again. Husband liked the salmon. I got chicken fingers, too much breading, small chicken pieces. Caesar salad had big lettuce, tiny cheese, few croutons. Pickup parking is a mess, no spots. I told the girl, she said it's always like this. They should fix it. After 2 bad times, we won't go back.

    Our visit to the newly opened Weatherford, TX location left us with mixed feelings. Disappointingly, we weren't promptly greeted at the bar, and the service was lacking. The food, particularly the steak, leaned towards oversalted. Despite ordering okra, my plate arrived with only a steak, prompting me to opt for another side—a salty baked potato. While the food quality was reasonable, the overall service at the bar fell short of our expectations, leaving room for improvement in both hospitality and dish preparation.

    Let me start by saying I love Longhorn.

    Let me start by saying I love Longhorn. I frequently go to the freehold location. But on May 22, 2024 it was not good. My son and I had the same entrée. The redrock shrimp. We were both violently ill the next day. Just wanted to let them know that they may have an issue with the seafood. So sade about this.

    Regrettably, my long-standing positive experience with Longhorn in Jefferson City, MO, has taken a downturn. For years, I've raved about their flavorful rack of ribs. However, my last two visits were disappointing—the ribs lacked tenderness, meat, and overall enjoyment. It seems there may have been a shift in cooking methods or instructions, leading to an unfavorable change. Sadly, the quality didn't justify the price. It's disheartening to bid farewell to what was once a culinary delight. I hope they reconsider their approach to restore the exceptional dining experience I once cherished.

    Man, Longhorn Steakhouse was a letdown in Florida, and it was the same story in Somerset, KY. Took forever for someone to even take our order. I asked for a well-done steak, but got something straight out of the farm. Even after sending it back twice, it was still wrong. Food and service were awful, no doubt.

    On Saturday, August 17, I ordered 2-9 ounce Filets, cooked "Rare" from Longhorn Steakhouse in Perry. When I got the food home, I weighed the steaks and found both were just 8 ounces! Cooking steaks RARE shouldn't reduce their weight by a whole ounce. If the Owner, Manager, or staff does this with every order, think of the "gain" they make. There needs to be someone checking this "theft" from customers. One thing is for sure, I WILL NOT be ordering from this place again. Checking your food might be smart if you're getting carryout. I've reached out to Darden, but who knows what the result will be.
