WPE is great. Having tried 4-5 hosts, it's the best for WordPress. Support team's smart, and the tools are powerful. Costs more than cheap hosts, but worth it.

WPEngine isn't about budget hosting. It's serious about managed Wordpress hosting, ideal for users avoiding backend upkeep. It's pricey at $30 per month per site. It's steep, $350 annually for one site, but it's a perfect fit for serious developers. Service and product are deserving of 5 stars, despite the cost.
