I've had nothing but bad times with Cox.

I've had nothing but bad times with Cox. After moving to different places and being stuck with this ISP, I stopped keeping track of how many times the internet stopped working. Sometimes it's gone for a few hours, other times for days and days. Need to work or study online? Good luck. The support team is so unhelpful it feels like they don’t even talk to the people who fix things. One week, when the internet was down, I called support daily and kept making “appointments” with techs. But then, no one even showed up when they were supposed to. And after it finally got fixed, techs still kept showing up, and I had to tell each one that it was already taken care of. The Cox system is really bad and makes it hard for their workers to do their jobs. And just when you think it’s over, the problems come back again the next week. Also, they’ll charge you $25 for not updating your payment info after you get a new card. They say “they understand” but if they truely did, they wouldn’t be charging you for that.

I switched from AT&T because they were too slow.

I switched from AT&T because they were too slow. Now, my internet cuts out all the time, almost every day. They say I have to restart the modem each day to get the best connection. I often have to turn it off and rely on my Tmobile internet because it's not stable. I'm not sure if it’s my location or something else. Oh, and I’m paying three times more now. I could keep going with everything else that went wrong after I signed up, but I’m too tired to write it all out. At least AT&T was dependable.

    This company is a joke.

This company is a joke. Always having issues with the service, it never runs smoothly. Prices keep going up with NO better service. The packages aren't as good as they say. The deals they offer aren't worth what you pay. I would suggest going with Dish instead of this pathetic excuse for a provider. Paying $350/month to these scammers is done.

My spouse went in to get our internet bill

My spouse went in to get our internet bill lowered and ended up being convinced to sign up for Cox mobile, which we didn’t even need. I cancelled the service, but even after two months (with the service turned off and the final bill paid twice through customer service), we’re still getting charged for services that weren’t provided. The customer service is awful—they sound nice on the phone (even thanked me for being a long-time internet customer), but they still keep charging for another month. Plus, you’re forced to sign up for autopay, and now that the service is stopped, I can’t even pay online. I’d never recommend Cox mobile to anyone and might even try to warn people away from it.

There have been quite a few times when the Internet just cut out completely, only to come back on as if nothing happened. This always seems to happen when something important is going on, like writing an email, etc.
