Avoids accountability, lacks professionalism. Stay away
I am deeply frustrated by the lack of professionalism displayed by your travel agency. You are refusing to provide me with a full refund without offering any explanation. My family was disembarked from the ship due to a medical emergency and did not go on the cruise. I have documentation to prove this.
While you have agreed to refund the taxes, you have given no justification for withholding the fare. I reiterate that I did not take the cruise. My 15-year-old son had emergency surgery on January 7th in California and has since been diagnosed with MRSA, an infection contracted after falling on a Royal Caribbean ship, which he will now have to live with for the rest of his life.
I incurred additional expenses, including $1,500 for three plane tickets home and two hotel rooms on January 6th, so I could get my son to Kaiser in San Diego. He required IV antibiotics, among other treatments.
The fact that I am being denied a full refund under these circumstances is both unreasonable and unacceptable. To offer only a partial refund while ignoring the medical emergency and the fact that I did not attend the cruise is insulting.
I have already filed a report with the Better Business Bureau and will continue to file complaints about your business practices wherever I can. I am formally requesting a full refund. Your refusal to honor this, despite assurances from the ship’s medical staff that I would be refunded, feels like an attempt to avoid accountability.
