We moved from Kansas to
We moved from Kansas to Illinois in July 2024 with International Van Lines, and it was a mess from start to finish. The cost estimates were way off, and we had to scramble to fix overcharges. Their customer service was a joke; we spent the week before the move trying to get answers about the pickup time, but our calls went straight to voicemail and were never returned. The move itself was a disaster. They outsourced to other movers who showed up in a rental truck. Our stuff was unloaded and reloaded at some warehouse, and when it finally arrived, it was a different crew with limited English. They broke our marble table, lost parts of our Danish dining set, and misplaced three large boxes, which took three months to find. They even lost a filing cabinet that’s still missing. Dealing with their claims process was a nightmare, too. It took three months just to get a tiny settlement. Avoid IVL at all costs; check reviews before you make the same mistake we did.
