Bait & Switch False Marketing

Excellent app and use of the product, but they get 2 stars because their marketing is not clear. The $10 plan is fine for individual use, but the moment you start faxing, they will switch you to a business plan (no marketing that states the $10 plan is only an individual use plan and that they have different tiers of plans) and give you 7 days to pay or they will cancel your account. Absolutely horrid.

Humblefax has been a real help for my work. A few of my coworkers still use fax machines while the rest of us use scanners and printers. The only way we can send or receive anything from them is through fax. Luckily, humblefax comes to the rescue. We can scan, which gives us copies of the documents and then fax that scan to them. One person even thought I was sending a direct fax, and I had to clarify it for them. No matter where I am, someone can send a fax and I get a tidy little file I can use however I want. I've already told 3 other people about it. One of them has already hopped on the HF train.

Nonetheless, adding several documents (such as a custom cover sheet and fax contents) is easy and straightforward. It doesn't connect directly with my company’s record system, but the confirmation emails come with attachments and a search feature for past faxes – I'm very satisfied with the service, especially given the great value.

I signed up for a Humble Fax subscription a couple of months ago to send documents to my lawyer and family court in another state. All of my documents have been sent without any problem. If the recipient is busy, it will retry the transmission. It's been pretty easy for me to use. I’ll keep using it as long as I need to. What I like is that I no longer have to deal with a fax machine. I can upload a file, up to 50mb, and send it quickly. I get a confirmation email when it's been sent succesfully, plus updates during the process.

They want me back for just $5, but I said no because I prefer Humble Fax. They keep sending me the same offers to return, but I’m not going back.
