I'm attempting to update my phone number for verification purposes, and it's becoming a frustrating experience. Despite submitting my driver's license multiple times, they consistently claim difficulty in reading it. If this issue persists, I'm considering discontinuing my GoFundMe account and withdrawing support from others using the platform. Additionally, their fee structure seems questionable, particularly when profiting from donations intended for non-profit organizations. Not a recommendation for anyone.

Similar to others, I fell victim to the deceptive "tipping" feature on GoFundMe, now defaulting to 16%. The tip option, camouflaged beneath text and white space, is positioned at the page's bottom. Users must scroll down to unveil the default 16% tip, which can be adjusted. This design choice feels misleading, and I caution others to be vigilant about hidden fees when navigating the donation process on GoFundMe.

The company's automatic verification didn't accept my documents at first. I reached out for help, and Vincent from the help desk got in touch. He fixed the issue by having me use their secure file upload program. The whole thing got sorted out pretty fast.

Great experience overall, almost everything went fine except for the transfer of the funds, which is one of the most important things. My ID documents were initially not accepted, and the upload tool could use some improvement. I got an email saying my funds were on the way, but when I logged into my account, I saw a banner saying the funds were on hold because my ID wasn't verified. If I hadn't checked, I wouldn't have known about the hold. I contacted the support team, and they replied quickly and helped me out.
