Beware of this Registrar!!

Beware of cosmotown.com!! Cosmotown suspends domains without reason. They suspended the imexbb.com domain last Saturday after receiving an automated mass email from a trademark law firm that was spidering the Internet. This email complained about a single copyright-questioning posting. For these cases, the forum has a reporting function where users can report inappropriate user posts to us. imexbb.com is a non-profit business forum for traders and entrepreneurs where they can exchange ideas. The domain has been operated by another registrar since 2009 without any problems. 2 months ago we transferred our domain to cosmotown.com to save a few dollars per year as it is the cheapest registrar. A big mistake as it turned out. On the day of the blocking, we explained the situation to cosmotown via email. According to the cosmotown website, they respond within 24 hours. We have not received a response to any of our emails to date - almost a week later. Such a registrar is a disgrace to the Internet. Since we do not generate any revenue from the Bulletin Board, we will not hire a lawyer to recover the stolen domain. It is intended as a warning to everyone not to trust their domain to this registrar.

They work with Phishing and Fraudulent Websites

The fraudulent site is registered through Cosmotown, and we submitted a detailed abuse report with clear evidence, requesting urgent action. They never responded. No acknowledgment, no investigation, no takedown just some automatic emails to tell us that they don't care. Most reputable registrars act quickly in cases of fraud, especially when real people and businesses are being harmed. Cosmotown’s silence raises serious concerns about their ethics and whether they allow this kind of abuse to continue unchecked or even if they work hand to hand with these phishing websites. If you’re a business owner or care about online security, avoid Cosmotown at all costs. They clearly don’t take abuse or fraud seriously.

I transferred 19 of my domains to Cosmotown

I transferred 19 of my domains to Cosmotown because their prices are affordable, but I've decided to move them all somewhere else as they expire. The login process is really annoying, especially with that recaptcha. It often takes multiple tries to get through it. Is that part of the sign considered a stop sign or not? Oops, guess again. Or is that blurry part a traffic signal? Wrong again, try once more. Having to deal with that, along with the "I am not a robot" step, plus getting a verification code from email is just too much. Even my bank accounts are easier to access. It’s just not worth saving a few bucks a year. Based on reviews, I’m lucky I haven’t needed support yet, but I hope I can transfer everything before I do.

Support is very poor; they don’t respond. I’ve been trying to reach them for 2 months. I buy domains often and have over 200 with them. I tried changing the DNS records for one of my domains, but after updating them, the records keep processing and never save. I’m stuck and can’t move or manage my domain.
