Horrible business practices and customer service

I am a stage 4 cancer patient that can not wear makeup. I was watching a TikTok live unrelated to Colourpop and fell asleep. Somehow I woke up having ordered a $55 mystery box. Since it was less than an hour of ordering and on a weekend, I tried to cancel. Speaking with their customer service they told me to cancel through TikTok shop. I had already tried that 5 times and every time it says the reason i could not was because "order has already been shipped". The tracking number provided clearly stated that the order was awaiting processing and not shipped.
Two days with Colourpop trying to cancel an order I could not even use and was going to set me back in a bad way financially. I was told by a colourpop representative to let them ship it and they would refund my money on return. When the product arrived, a week after it was mistakenly ordered, I took it back to the post office the very next day. Most companies you just need a shipping label and to put the return in the drop box. They wanted to charge me 7 dollars to return something I tried for days to cancel. Since my bank account was now at -37.43 thanks to Colorpop, I could not afford the return fee. The post office suggested that I return to sender, but would not let me film or take pictures inside the post office at the counter. I really needed that money back so I had the post lady return it to sender.
Then I waited. I contacted Colourpop a few times in the next two weeks and was told to be patient. They have been putting me off for 4 weeks, only now to finally tell me a month later that they never received the package and that it was too late to get a refund. I had asked several times over the past month to please check to see if they received it and they told me to be patient.
Everything about this is shady business practices.
First I could not cancel an item less than an hour after mistakenly ordering because "It's been shipped", yet the tracking number clearly stated it was awaiting processing.
Secondly, they told me if I couldn't cancel it through the web site, then it was going to be shipped. They assured me that there would be a refund on return.
Third, they shipped it days later with full knowledge that it was to be returned and that I could not even use the product.
Fourth, they wanted me to pay for return shipping on something I didn't want them to ship in the first place and knew I wouldn't be able to pay the return shipping fee.
Fifth, I feel like they intentionally strung me along until the "window for refunds" would expire.
I've been treated better by my health insurance company.
TL:DR Don't spend money with Colorpop unless you are absolutely sure that you want the item, because you will never see that money again.
