    Moving with Adams Van Lines

Moving with Adams Van Lines was a breeze! These guys showed up right on time and handled my stuff with so much care, wrapping everything up nicely. Watching them load the truck like pros gave me peace of mind. Definitely using them again for my next move. Already told a bunch of friends about how awesome their team is. Can't wait to call the company and share my great experience!

    My husband and I have

My husband and I have a lot of stuff, like, it's kind of embarrassing. We called Adams Van Lines and told them about our situation. They gave us a fair quote and stuck to it. The crew arrived right on time and got straight to work. They packed up our entire home in Birmingham, AL in about 5 hours. I couldn't believe how hard they worked. They loaded everything into four vans and headed to Kansas City, MO. Most of our belongings arrived in good shape, though a few items had minor scratches. Honestly, that was expected given how much we had. If you've got a ton of stuff like us, definitely go with Adams Van Lines. They know what they're doing.

    I had to relocate

I had to relocate from Helena, MT to Columbus, OH for a new job, and my parents decided to move too. We had tons of stuff to haul from Helena. I chose Adams Van Lines based on their great reputation. They gave a fair quote and agreed to handle both mine and my parents' belongings in one go. The movers showed up with all the right gear and were really focused on the task. They packed everything up quickly and loaded it all onto the vans without a hitch. Their system was super organized. I’m really impressed they got all our stuff to Ohio on time. Made the whole move so much simpler!

    I had an awful experience

I had an awful experience with Adam's Van Lines. They hit me with an unauthorized charge of $148.70 on top of the $859.54 deposit I already paid. No explanation, no receipt, nothing. Then, the initial move estimate was $2099 but ballooned to $2914.31. They blamed it on extra cubic footage, but seriously, 18 cu.ft costing an extra $800? The worst part, though, is the bait-and-switch game they play. Everything started with Adam’s Van Lines, but when things went wrong (like losing two of my items), I ended up dealing with Moving Services Inc., who claimed they weren't the same company. Yet, all emails and bills were from Adam’s Van Lines. They offered me a pathetic $57 for my lost items and tried to make me sign a form that would stop me from writing reviews or filing complaints. They hide behind multiple entities to avoid responsibility. Stay far away from Adam's Van Lines if you don't want a headache!

    I can’t believe the nightmare

I can’t believe the nightmare we went through with Adam’s and their rep, Alex Dias. We did a full walkthrough of our house via FaceTime, and Alex assured us a 26ft truck would be sufficient. We sold a lot of our furniture, so we expected everything to fit easily. Moving day comes, and we get no notice. They brokered to United Prime Van Lines, who started charging us for extra boxes and then ran out of space on the truck! We had to get a second truck, which cost us an additional $5107.20. And they claimed we’d need an extra month of storage, which ended up being way more than quoted. Finally, when they delivered our stuff, they demanded another $2300! We were extorted and lied to every step of the way. Their “goodwill fund” offered us $150 for our troubles—what a joke. Stay far away from these scammers.

    I gotta share my experience

I gotta share my experience with this moving company—it was a nightmare. They gave me all the wrong info over the phone and promised no hidden fees with free insurance up to $1000. But after a week, they hit me with extra charges, saying my inventory list had to be exact or I'd pay more on moving day. They also switched trucks last minute, which I had to cover. They damaged a lot of my stuff, including two TVs worth around $1000, and didn’t even reassemble my furniture. I had to hire someone else for that and pay extra. When I complained, they said they were just brokers and not responsible for the movers' actions, offering me a laughable $0.60 per pound for the damages. Dealing with them and BBB was just a loop of the same excuses. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this company.

    I reached out to Adams

I reached out to Adams Van Lines last November to move my stuff from San Leandro, CA to Fort Smith, AR. They got a local company to handle the pickup. Long story short, I didn’t see my things for 7 months. When they finally arrived, a bunch of my stuff was missing—new clothes, shoes, purses, you name it. I took Adams to court, but Alex Diaz claimed I couldn’t sue them since I wasn’t in Florida. I won my case, but they still refused to pay. I had to go back to court, got a foreign judgment, and sent it to Florida. They even hung up on me and my brother when we called. As a senior on a fixed income, this has been a nightmare. If you’re thinking about using Adams Van Lines, think twice. They’ve caused me so much trouble.

    Using this moving company was

Using this moving company was quite an experience, and not in a good way. From the get-go, things went downhill. They gave me a quote, but when the day came, it was like, "Surprise! Here's an extra $500 bill for ya!" And mind you, I ended up shipping even less than I planned. They hit me with charges for "bulky items," despite me giving them all the details beforehand. With my stuff already packed by the movers, I felt trapped and had to cough up the cash. Delivery was a mess, too—showed up a week late and my furniture was damaged. Plus, they insisted I pay before even unloading. I demanded a peek at my stuff before handing over the money. Imagine if they just drove off with my things!
