    I was a bit unsure the first time I booked with Wisecars, but the savings were so great that I decided to go for it. The voucher arrived as expected, pickup went smoothly, and I was very happy! Booking with them again, I had to modify my reservation a month later. They handled it swiftly and effortlessly. Mikhel was helpful and even reduced my reservation fee. I'll definitely choose them whenever I need to rent a car!

However, upon reaching the pickup location, I was surprised to be asked for an additional deposit and payment, despite the money having already been withdrawn by Wisecars. To make matters worse, there is no provision for a refund if you realize this discrepancy within 48 hours of your rental pickup. This situation feels like a scam, and it's extremely disappointing to encounter such deceptive practices. Caution is advised for anyone considering using this service.

    Rented a vehicle at the wrong

    Rented a vehicle at the wrong location...took a lyft to the right location and when we arrived, the rental had been 'cancelled" Not even sure if we had a legit rental in the first place despite the e-mail from wisecars as Avis had zero confirmation whatsoever. Had to pay top dollar for a vehicle 'right now'. Called Wisecars FOUR times, was assured they would look into into the charge they placed on my credit card and get back to me. NEVER returned my calls, never issued refund. Had to dispute with my credit card company. DO NOT TRUST THESE SCAMMERS

    It’s a scam

    This is a scam! Don’t use! My first time renting a car. I used a debit card on Wise Cars site to make the reservation. All was fine until I went to pick up the car and they refused to let me rent the car because I used a debit card. I called customer service and they rudely said “Too bad. No refunds!” They took my 1300.00 without the contract being honored and they refuse to give any if it back. It’s just a scam.

    I'm extremely disappointed with Wisecars. The undisclosed "minimum coverage" required for car pickup was absurdly high and not outlined in the terms they provided. My insurance, even from GEICO, fell short, forcing me to purchase additional coverage at an exorbitant cost. Wisecars' lack of transparency left me feeling deceived and overcharged. I won't be returning.

    So, there I was, stuck in the ICU and needing to change my vacation plans last minute. Mark picked up the phone super quick, like within a minute, and he was just the nicest guy. He totally got what I was going through and helped me switch my reservation without a hitch. Made the whole mess way less stressful. Andra's also been a rockstar every time I’ve dealt with her. Both of them are just amazing—friendly, efficient, and really go above and beyond. This company always impresses me, definitely more than I ever expected.

    Got this email last week

    Got this email last week saying my car reservation might be in trouble. Was out of town and kinda stressed about it. Gave customer service a ring and talked to Hazel. She really broke it down for me, explained why the email was sent. Then she went the extra mile, called the rental car company herself to check on my reservation. Few minutes later, she got back to me saying everything was sorted out and my car would be ready in Boston. Big shoutout to Hazel for being super helpful and making sure I didn't have to worry.

    I got an email saying

    I got an email saying my car reservation at Nashville Airport might be in trouble. Freaked out, I called Wisecars right away since that's where I booked it. This guy, Emanoel, picked up and said he'd sort it out. He called Dollar/Thrifty Car Rental at the airport himself and promised to update me the next day. True to his word, Emanoel emailed and called me the next day, confirming my car was ready for the trip. Seriously, Emanoel went above and beyond with his customer service. Super grateful for his help!

    So, got this email from Wisecars saying there might be an issue with my rental car. I wasn't thrilled, but I gave their support a ring and got Hazel on the line. She was super nice and took my info, said she'd check with the rental company herself and call me back. Wasn't sure if she'd actually do it, but hey, a few minutes later, she did! Turns out, there was a car ready for me after all. Big relief! Hazel really helped me out and made sure everything was sorted. Thanks Hazel, you're the best!

    Had to scrap our trip

    Had to scrap our trip 'cause of the hurricane, so I rang up to cancel our car reservation. The rep, Meelis, was super cool about it. Instead of just canceling, he offered to tweak our booking. Managed to find us another car at the same spot and at a good price, too. Totally didn't expect that level of help, but it was awesome. Big thanks to Meelis for turning a bad situation around!

    Gotta say, booking a car

    Gotta say, booking a car was super smooth. Last time I tried, my credit card didn’t go through, but they were cool about it, emailed me and waited even though I took my sweet time replying. Lol. I'm crossing my fingers that picking up the car is just as easy, though I think it’s not right at the airport. Hopefully, the off-site location isn't too much of a hassle.

    Just got off a long

    Just got off a long flight and was super worried about getting our rental car sorted. Called up customer service and they were super helpful. They reassured me that "pick up at terminal" means exactly what it says – right at the airport, no shuttles or anything. With our early flight back to the US in November, the last thing we wanted was the hassle of waiting around. Huge relief knowing we can drop the car off right at the terminal.     I booked a car rental

    I booked a car rental through Wisecars for my trip to Geneva Airport in January 2025. I paid £212 in full back in July 2024. Then, in September, I got an email from them saying Dollar/Thrifty had no cars available. They suggested I turn up at the airport and hope for the best. Really? I’ve rented cars from Geneva before without issues, and it seemed fishy. Even checked with other agents who had cars, just at a higher price. I emailed Wisecars twice and waited days for a response. They then blamed a different company, Hertz. I asked for a refund on September 16th, and still no money back by the end of the month. Wisecars is unreliable—avoid them.

    When I rented a car

    When I rented a car in Sofia through Wisecars, they linked me up with this company called NU, which later changed to Add Car. The whole thing felt like a scam. Their card machine mysteriously wouldn't accept my credit card, so I had to use my debit card and buy their full insurance, which I didn’t need. It cost me an extra €700. Wisecars didn’t seem to care, even though there are loads of similar complaints online. The experience was super frustrating, and I wouldn't trust either of these companies again. It felt sketchy from start to finish. Be very careful renting from them.

    Rented a car from AVIS

    Rented a car from AVIS in Germany, thinking I had a 24-hour cancellation window. Turns out, the number on the voucher was useless. Had to dig through the internet to find a working contact. When I finally got through, they told me cancellations had to be made 48 hours in advance. Ended up losing 250 EUR just like that. Not going with AVIS again.
