In the last 24 hours, both me and my wife rented a Rug Doctor from our local Waitrose in Salisbury. The hire process was simple and no issues at all. Before renting, I checked out the easy-to-follow instructions that can be downloaded online. We brought the machine home and assembled everything. Once again, double-checking with the installation guide, we made sure everything was in place. We filled the tank halfway with warm water and used the right cleaning liquids that we bought, and soon enough, we started cleaning the carpets. Now, here’s the thing...Our carpet was really dirty, marked all over, and I honestly thought it was done for!! Turns out, I was totally wrong. We spent the whole afternoon working on it and another two hours this morning. The carpet has gone back to its original color and looks almost like new. The Rug Doctor has been amazing for us, and we’ll definitely rent it again to clean the rest of the house.

Renting was simple.

I didn’t like how you say it’s $40 to rent, but then there’s an additional $23 charge for the solution. That really took away from the experience. The main Rug Doctor machine did a better job cleaning our carpets than the last few times we’ve had them steam cleaned by other machines or a professional service! The results weren’t 100% perfect, but we plan on using it again this month and see if it improves a bit more. Thanks for making the system so accessible everywhere!

Had some problems with the first machine

Had some problems with the first machine I hired as it leaked all over the floor, but customer service were really good in sorting it out fast and sending a replacement. They also gave me a partial refund for the trouble. The lady on the phone was very nice and I was pleased they helped so fast even over the weekend.

Bought this from Asda, big heavy machine which was hard to fit in my car and carry into the house. The tank of the machine was dirty and the hand tool was full of hair and dirt, I had to clean both before I could use it. It was really hard to move the machine around, and I had to keep emptying the tank and refilling it with water and shampoo, making the cleaning a tiring job. The instructions on the machine didn’t help at all, so I had to watch YouTube videos on my phone to figure out how to switch to the tool mode for cleaning stairs and upholstery. I wouldn’t hire this machine again, and with the cost of nearly £50 for one day's rental plus the shampoo, it wasn’t worth the money. The carpets looked a bit cleaner, but after all the effort, the difference wasn’t that clear. It took me hours to do just three rooms and a set of stairs.
