My son has had a great time with his tutor, Joshua Duff, who has helped him a lot by giving him useful test-taking methods that he wouldn’t have learned by himself. From finding key details in reading passages to breaking down math questions into simpler parts, my son says these skills have helped him in his regular school subjects. He looks forward to his tutoring sessions and always does the homework to get ready for his next meetings. Joshua has been very helpful with preparing him for his upcoming AP exam too. I really recommend Revolution Prep and wish we had started this sooner in his high school years for regular help in his classes. David Zimbalist has also been very kind in guiding us through the tutoring process, and I appreciate the time he spent on a call before my son began. Also, he has kept in touch to check how my son’s experience is going.

My junior son has had a really good time working with his Rev Prep tutor

My junior son has had a really good time working with his Rev Prep tutor, Cara Rabaev. She is able to tutor many of his subjects and helps him with both his AP and regular classes. She explains things clearly and stays positive with him. We get a report after each session showing what they did and what he should study for the next week. She also sends a short video so we can see how they work together and that my son is paying attention. Most important, he is getting better in the subjects Cara helps him with. Joe Twohig is our advisor and is easy to reach and supportive, giving personal advice about the programs and options from Rev Prep. Overall, a very good experience this year!

We had a great experience with Revolution Prep. Sue really got what our son needed and matched him with the right tutor, Diana, who helped him cover a whole year of geometry during the summer. From the start, Diana gave her all—tutoring our son, carefully planning lessons, and providing lots of helpful materials and detailed answers. Her hard work was impressive, and she connected well with our son, which made learning easier. Thanks to Diana’s hard work, our son aced his test with confidence. We are really thankful for the support and genuine care Diana showed all summer. We definitely recommend Diana and Revolution Prep. Thank you, Diana!

I would definitely suggest Rev Prep

I would definitely suggest Rev Prep, our experience was really good from beginning to end. Both kids worked with Shawn as their private tutor and saw their scores increase by almost 200 points each. Shawn was full of energy and always there to support them while they worked through the tough subjects, but also knew when to challenge them, respecting their homework and school responsibilities. She made learning enjoyable for them and they looked forward to their sessions. And... the results say a lot. Additionally, Sue H in the office was helpful with adding tutoring hours or telling us about promotions to save money. This is a solid team.

Very good tutoring company. I've been getting help from Joe Twohig, who guided us on the right path for my daughter's pre-calc class and SAT practice. Her tutor, Chazlee Myers, has been really helpful, making my daughter feel at ease and breaking things down in a way she gets. Now she wants to learn instead of disliking math at school. Her grades went up and she’s kept an A in math. We haven’t gotten her SAT scores yet but she walked into the test feeling more sure of herself. I would definitly suggest this tutoring company to other parents.

My son's tutor, James Corngold, and Revolutionary Prep are really great. James knows his stuff and helps my son get ready for his SATs without any fuss. He gets how tough it is for teenage boys juggling school and sports. James adjusts the lessons to suit my son's way of learning, and he's also cool with changing up his schedule, which really helps my son stay on track. James is patient and gets what teenagers are dealing with. I'd tell any parent to check out Revolutionary Prep and their tutors.

We've been with this company for about a year. At first, we scheduled tutoring for her various challenging classes. She's enjoyed her tutors and found them helpful and encouraging. Grades have gotten better gradually. Now that her concussion is better, she's switched to a more flexible approach and does well with help when she's stuck on homework. She feels less anxious knowing she can get knowledgeable and useful help right away. Overall, it's been worth the money and time.

Our experience with Revolution Prep

Our experience with Revolution Prep left much to be desired. Despite starting six months ahead for PSAT preparation, we faced constant tutor turnover, leading to a lack of consistency. The tutors seemed more focused on distant test scores than our immediate goals. Helicopter parenting became a necessity as we had to navigate tutor replacements and micromanage the entire process. Only one practice test in six months was disappointing. While our student's ACT score did improve slightly, the overall experience lacked the student-centric approach we expected. In hindsight, opting for a more student-focused company would have been a wiser choice. Avoid disappointment; explore alternatives.

We engaged Revolution Prep for PSAT preparation, and the experience left much to be desired. Dealing with a revolving door of three tutors indicated a struggle to retain staff. Despite a six-month lead, our tutor failed to align with our goals, fixating on test scores later in the process. The scarcity of practice tests after months of commitment was disappointing. Instead of a streamlined process, we found ourselves navigating tutor replacements, necessitating excessive parental involvement. While our student's ACT score did improve slightly, the overall experience was subpar. Opting for a more student-centric company would be advisable. Steer clear.

We did not see any improvement after using this company's services, even though our daughter followed all their instructions diligently. We received no feedback or explanation as to why our daughter and others in the class showed no signs of improvement. After wasting several weeks with this company's prep course, we'll have to look elsewhere for assistance.

That doesn't sound good at all. When it comes to administrative scheduling and communication, they seem to be dropping the ball. Even worse, your son's SAT scores didn't improve; they actually got worse after the prep. Plus, it's frustrating that they didn't follow up when you raised your concerns.
