It was our first time moving abroad, and we had a lot to figure out. With furniture and many boxes of precious memories to ship from Italy to New York, we felt uncertain if Rainier was the right fit. Since they focus on moving people overseas in the other direction, we hesitated at first. But Don and Danise helped us a lot. They explained the costs in detail, walked us through the insurance process, and arranged for skilled movers in Italy. They kept us informed, even when there was a short dockworkers' strike in Oct. 2024. Everything arrived safely and on time. We got quotes from eight companies—some in the US, Italy, and global ones too. Rainier stood out for their clear answers to our questions. (One big company, Kuehne+Nagel, said they don’t even handle personal goods anymore.) Rainier did a great job, and I would recomend them to anyone needing to ship items abroad.

After looking for a reliable shipping company for our international move, I finally found Rainier, and they were very good. Chuck Crosslin managed all the details, and both teams at each end were very careful, on time, and handled our things well. We had more items than expected, but Chuck worked hard to keep the price close to our initial quote. They also kept our shipment in the UK for a few weeks since we couldn’t move into our new home right away. The whole process was easy and there were no surprise fees like with other companies. I would definitely recommend them.
