We had some problems with the network connection

We had some problems with the network connection between two of their data center locations. Instead of blaming us like many other providers, they did a detailed check and figured out what was causing the issue.

My short time with Linode

My short time with Linode was good. They gave good service for hosting games and stuff. Their service is very reliable, so my games didn't have lots of downtime. I liked that I could make my stuff bigger easily if I needed to. Setting up new servers was easy, and I could do it fast without lots of downtime. The sales folks were nice, but sometimes they didn't know everything about what they were selling. I had to switch hosts eventually. Linode has lots of VPS options for different needs and prices. Even their cheap servers are good. They don't have bare metal servers with Akamai/Linode setup, though. The support team was great. They knew lots and were quick to help. It made me feel good about being their customer.

I don't wanna say it but they scamed me. I was using Linode and lastly I cancelled account due to fund problems but I reconsidered as I still has funds so try to re-sign up again and again still rejected as fraud wth how does i fraud on your company. I contacted them waited and wait nope no answer so. I don't recommend it at all I use them for 1-2 month and they doing this on me why dude. (I'm Non us user idk why)

Thought Linode was decent for my first host ever

Thought Linode was decent for my first host ever, but it's not. Realized it's overpriced and underperforming. Support okay, hence 2 stars not 1. Overall, don't spend on Linode unless you like tossing money into something that offers no value for your cash.

Disappointing service.

Disappointing service. I signed up to give it a shot, but later removed my account. Now, when I try to sign up again, I get rejected... "account cannot be activated due to activity or patterns related to fraudelent behavior." This makes me see why so many content creators have stopped partnering with them.

Akamai's billing is unreliable, and they lack

Akamai's billing is unreliable, and they lack essential infrastructure for a serious Cloud provider. It might work for students, but for large businesses, they’re not built for enterprise needs.

Their VPN service is quite slow.

Their VPN service is quite slow. I tested it with OpenVPN and Wireguard. They were very sluggish even though my internet speed ranged from 20-50Mbps.
