This course was a game changer for me.
This course was a game changer for me. I shifted from being a full-time musician to a Cloud Engineer. With two small kids, I wanted a job that let me be home more, and also paid better. After learning some basics of programming on my own, I found I enjoyed it and decided a tech job might be a good fit. When I began the course, I had no idea what DevOps or Cloud Engineering meant, but within 6 months, I was doing it. The course covered 5 main topics: Linux, AWS, Python, Containerization, and Terraform. I earned 3 certifications and finished nearly 20 hands-on projects, which we document on Medium. The hands-on projects and documentation are key parts of the course, and this habit of documenting has stuck with me, helping me with many more projects since I finished. The course also focuses on useful real-world skills, like finding answers on your own, collaborating with others, and good tech practices. They also teach you how to use LinkedIn to network and improve your profile, getting you noticed by recruiters and industry people. I graduated during a tough job market, so it took time to find a job, but I kept going. Last week, I accepted an offer at a company I’m excited about. It took hard work, late nights, and lots of studying, but it was worth it. The course also offers a strong alumni network and ongoing career support, including weekly meetings, instructor access, job search sites, and other resources, all at no extra cost after finishing the program. I recommend this course to anyone considering a career change to DevOps or Cloud Engineering.
