How I got this loan through Upstart. I received an advertisement in the mail, which arrived at the perfect moment since I was thinking about getting a loan but wasn’t sure where to get it from. I applied for the loan and talked to a representative who gave me a number of different loan amounts to choose from. I liked this because I had options based on what I needed. He was patient, friendly, and understanding. Another representative helped me with my email and he was also patient, very understanding, and stayed on the phone with me until everything was taken care of. He even told me he was going to stay until it was finished. That made me feel really good, knowing he didn’t leave. Sorry, I can’t remember their names. Thanks to all the representatives at Lending Tower for staying in touch to check on how things are going. I would recommend Lending Tower to my family and friends for their great hospitality. Don’t Waste Your Time!

Don’t even waste your time. I received a letter stating that I was pre-approved for a loan. Now, granted, I’m well aware that a pre-approval isn’t an automatic guarantee. The application is still conditional and up for deliberation. I applied and I received a call from a gentleman by the name of Rodger. I spent 30mins on the phone with Rodger, explaining my situation, and the reason for the loan. Instead of Rodger just telling me up front that my application was denied and giving a brief synopsis on why, Rodger proceeds to engage in pre-tense, just to inform me that he sent me a link via email towards the end. While still on the phone with Rodger, I clicked on the Link just to be told that my application was denied. Again, no hard feelings. I thanked Rodger and attempted to end the call. Rodger proceeded to try and convince me too set up an appointment with a Debt Relief Program (CONVENIENTLY, there was a link to said program on the email that Rodger sent me stating my denial for my loan). Multiple times, during the call, I expressed my wariness with those companies and thanked Rodger for his time but, seeing as how my loan application was denied, I saw no use for further communication. I had to end the call due to Rodger’s badgering. Rodger and Lending Towers, times are hard, and the last thing anybody wants to put up with is double speak and pretense. Please try to work on being more transparent with current and would be customers. It will make a Lot of difference.

Not satisfied.

Not satisfied. The agent mentioned I didn't meet the criteria for any of your lenders. He only suggested a debt consolidation plan that involved canceling all credit cards and having your team negotiate a lump sum payment with my creditors. Then, you sent me a flyer about a loan to clear my debt ($22,000). However, when I called, the only option presented seemed more like a Chapter 7 bankruptcy rather than what I needed. Very upset and let down by your misleading tactics!

I was just browsing online and decided to fill out a loan application. Didn't expect much, but boom, a call came in just minutes after I hit send. The lady on the line was nice and asked me a few questions. She said she'd emailed me some options to check out. I liked how she didn't rush me and was super patient when I had questions. I felt like she really cared about helping me find the right fit. It was so easy, and it felt like they genuinely wanted to make the process smooth for me. I'm definitely telling friends to give them a shot if they need a loan.

Mixed experience

You know, my recent experience was kind of a mixed bag. I was working with this guy Shane, who's really awesome and tried to help me out. Even though I didn't get exactly what I needed, he did manage to assist me a bit. The thing is, I specifically wanted to deal just with Shane, but other reps kept calling me non-stop. It got pretty annoying, like they didn't get the memo or something. Shane was doing a good job, but the constant calls from others just made the whole thing frustrating. I wish they would coordinate better so I could focus on working with Shane without all those interruptions.

I got this letter saying I'd be eligible for a $40,000 loan with a super low interest rate. Excited, I called them up to sort it out, but turns out, they could only offer me about $14,000 and the interest rate was much higher. Not exactly what I was expecting, but I decided to take it anyway. Used the money for what I needed and planning to pay it back as quickly as possible since it's just a short-term thing. The service wasn’t awful or anything, but it did feel a bit misleading. Would've preferred if they were more upfront about the actual terms from the start.

Really let down by the whole thing

Man, we thought Lending Tower was gonna be great after all the good stuff we read and getting pre-approved. Started out fine with a quick call after applying online. But then, we weren't approved, and suddenly this guy is trying to sell us their "Resolution Program". I told him no, multiple times, but he just wouldn't stop. He kept saying I was wrong for not wanting it. Seriously, it felt like he wasn't listening at all. I had to repeat myself so many times that I don't want this Resolution Program, but he kept pushing. Really let down by the whole thing, honestly.

But then I called and gave all my info to your agent, and she suddenly says I’m not approved for that loan. Like, seriously? Instead, she tried to push me into some debt consolidation plan. What a joke! This feels like a total scam. Why send me a letter saying I'm approved if I'm not? Feels really misleading and frustrating. Not cool at all.
